Because he's the best QB we've had since Mettenberger. Anyone who follows CFB could tell you that the biggest deficiency talent wise at LSU has always been our QB. We can match pretty much any other team's talent at any other position.
Is Joe Burrow a world beater? Well no, he isn't. Has he been effective in leading the LSU offense and winning ball games? He absolutely has.
People tend to forget this is his first season as a starter. 7-1 with the schedule we've faced is pretty remarkable

Nothing honestly, the guy is ballyhooed by LSU unexpected record. If LSU was 5-3 or 4-4 it would calls for Brennan, his limitations will be exposed on Saturday especially if Bama gets ahead early.
If if if...
We aren't. We have one loss and a lot of that is due specifically to Burrow and how he's played. I swear, for a fanbase that eats, breathes, and shits football, y'all prove time and again you actually know jack shite about it.

Joe Burrow is the best QB in the SEC.

You lost to Florida.
You beat Miami who now has 3 losses and are in 4th place in the worst Division in power 5
You beat Auburn who now has 3 losses and are battling for 4th place in the West this weekend.
None of those are "top 10" wins.

We’ve been keeping our offense vanilla. Wait until this weekend bitch.

He won't wow you with stats, but the guy is, as they say, a "gamer".
He's very competitive.
Has a confidence we haven't seen at QB in a while.
Never seems rattled or that the moment is too big for him.
And he plays well when it matters, although his main hiccup is the Florida game.
This will no doubt be his biggest test and will tell us what he's really made of.

No shame in missing on Burrow. He's quite elusive. Deceptively so, even.

Y'all are putting so much stock into some of these scores and completely not factoring in that our 2nd and 3rd team defense is giving up garbage TDs at the end of every game.

No, you can't, and you know it. You're giving up more sacks than 11 other SEC teams, and your YPC at 4.3 is second only to Tennessee in being the worst in the conference. You have no run game, and your offensive line is bad.

I’ll bite
223 passes attempted and 3 ints. That’s an int every 74 passes attempted. Pretty good numbers
As far as touchdowns go, You are aware that a team can score points other ways right? This isn’t fantasy football. Most fans don’t care how the ball gets across the goal line. As long as it gets there

Look...Burrow may be a decent QB. But with no running game and a shitty offensive line, the notion that he can go out and dazzle and beat Alabama singlehandedly is comical.

Idk what you want. There is nothing on the stat sheet that anyone can point to that will show why Joe burrow is a gamer.
There are no stats for being clutch or having balls.
But the kid is clutch and has balls.

He moves the ball when he needs to. controls the game well, and puts us in position to win every week. Sounds simple, but we haven't really had someone like that for quite some time now.

2nd best is a 3 loss OM team.
Everyone else has 4 or more loss. Meaning everyone else is beating them too.
Bama's opponents combined couldn't even build a team to beat UGA.

Burrow is a leader and smart football player. That being said, he's a thoroughly average arm talent. The defense carries this team
