Losing 2/3 of his top wrs and facing Clemson will make stats look bad.

He went 6/13 for 71 yards against Syracuse and 12/27 for 175 yards against Michigan State

Again, guy is a decent option, but lets not act like it was all because of lil ole Wake Forest playing the big bad boys of the ACC.

Newman is an ok runner in my opinion. But, his passing ability is good. Real good.

I agree but the fact is, its not always a bad thing. For UGA and a possible change in offensive philosophy coming, I am ecstatic.

Those stats came when he was surrounded by #75 ranked Wake level recruiting classes

Who knows what he'll do when surrounded by UGA blue chip (4 & 5*) talent

An awful circuitous way for UGA to implement a dual threat guy when they had the best dual threat guy of the last 3 Recruiting classes already on their Roster, yeah that Fields guy

This would be much bigger than any difference between Newman/Costello/Brice IMHO

You said “wow, he can play”, and he can. The hurt wrs clearly affected how his season ended.

He is the best option.

PFF has him as #3 returning QB behind Fields and Lawrence.

Consider me cautiously optimistic. I think he has skills and could be a good player for us. Who knows though.

Also Jamie Newman had a nagging shoulder injury that hurt him the entire back half of the season.

I am starting to see a pattern with Kirby and QB's.

Well I guess we'll just all have to see. Good luck to him, if that's who the guy ends up being.
