Dabo never looks happy anymore.
He used to look happy.

Indiana and vandy
Two good choices, imo.

Everyone you listed has already proven it.
Indiana is an obvious answer

Mizzou is definitely in play for that.
Besides Pinkel and Drink, they’ve been warmed over dogshit for more than 40 years.

I prefer to think of it as David meeting Goliath on January 1 in the Sugar Bowl.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Bama’s schedule in 1979 was the weakest
only team in the entire history of CFB to play three - count em - three teams with double digit losses in the same season (and in consecutive games at that)
Alabama played 3 teams that finished ranked in 1979.

Not sure why Ole Miss is included here.

you played only one team that finished better than 7-4 (and that was AU, who was 8-3 and led you late in the 4th quarter)
your opponents’ collective record was 49-73-2 (.392)

Alabama played 2 ranked teams in the regular season and then a ranked team in the bowl game.
Georgia played only a ranked team in the bowl game.
3-4 ranked games a year on 11 game regular season + bowl games was pretty common.
Records are a shitty way to judge SoS.

And you're doing well now under Kirby because he copied the Alabama program,
You mean the Nick Saban program? If you're going by that, then Alabama copied the LSU program.....and LSU copied the Michigan State program, etc.
(Don't get me wrong though, I agree with you about people sh!tting on other teams for no reason, it's just dumb)

Well...since they are winning, it would seem that they aren't sleeping. Maybe we refer to them as "Drowsy Midgets", and everyone is just waiting for them to go back to sleep.

Clemson and OM do not compare. Clemson has success recently

We never get included in any cool cliques !

Your fear of Ole Miss is noted.

3. Nebraska. I mean - why were they ever a blue blood? In the middle of nowhere in a state that doesn't produce the level or amount of talent to remain elite.
Pure and simple....
Boyd Epley is why they were a blue blood.
Devaney got them competitive. Epley invented organized strength programs... had Nebraska on steroids before anybody else... and had Nebraska on creatine before anybody else.
And he got an assist from the walk on program because he could artificially make a monster out of a typical Nebraska farm boy.

Over Walkers career I think he played a total of 5 ranked teams and lost 3 of them.
1980:
#14 South Carolina W 13-10
#20 Florida W 26-21
#7 ND W 17-10
1981:
#8 Pittsburgh L 20-24
I would also say that Georgia played unranked Clemson and lost 13-3 and Clemson ended the season winning the National Championship.
1982:
#11 Clemson W 13-7
#20 Florida W 44-0
#2 Penn State L 23-27 (Penn State National Champions)
7 Ranked teams record: 5-2
quote:Well, Georgia has 4 so....
Nebraska who has won 5 national championships , then Georgia ain't shite.
(Be careful before claiming Georgia can only claim 3 because 1942 was not AP, (it was consensus) I count 6 claimed titles by Alabama that were not AP)
quote:This is such a lame trope that Alabama fans repeat to make themselves feel better. It is as if Saban was the very first coach to think, "I know! I'll build my team around a strong running game and great defense! What a novel idea!"
And you're doing well now under Kirby because he copied the Alabama program,
Kirby Smart did build around great running game and strong defense, but the difference was recruiting.
I think you missed the entire point of his thread. I took it to mean that these are schools that either have done well and have slipped back to mediocrity with little hope of climbing back up, or schools that are currently doing well
but are in danger of slipping beck to mediocrity.
I don't think he was crapping on other teams so much as thinking of a counterpoint to the sleeping giant thread in order to spark conversation.
Maybe he was crapping on other teams, but that is not where my mind automatically goes.
You have not taken Georgia's emergence well.
