Every once in a generation we just see different and it's too easy and common to take different for granted. LeBron James, Tiger Woods, Derrick Henry, and Bo Jackson, are some of the best of the elite of the elite to ever do it.
There was another rb who is often forgotten that was as freaky if not more so than Bo and Herschel. Marcus Dupree. Easily the biggest what if in sports history. Late 70's to early eighties was the greatest era of rb's. Earl, Herschel, Bo, Dickerson, Curt Warner, George Rogers, Billy Simms. Cream of the crop right there. Many others who weren't quite at the level of those guys.

Henry has surprised even the most diehard Bama fans. He is a throwback who would fit in the era I just mentioned. He's the freakiest of rb's in the NFL currently because of his size.

You are comparing RB’s with CB’s and S?

I guess there is a reason I don’t venture to this board very often.

There are plenty of times that they were run down, or had guys running with them stride for stride.

Even IF true, and I doubt it is, how big were those guys? 180?

It is easier to chase someone down than run away from them.

1 like and 75 dislikes. I think the Rant disagrees with you.

Seriously, this is a troll post. You can argue about a lot of things, but saying Bo and Herschel were slow is too far. They were the most incredible running backs in football history, bar none. I am happy to be old enough to have seen both in person.

They were both unreal. To me, Bo is the best running back I’ve ever seen!!

I said they had track speed that didn't seem to translate to the football field.
Bo & Herschel didn't look that much faster than their competition.
Darrel Green, Ted Ginn, Deion Sanders ran by/away from guys and made them look like they were standing still.

thats not how this works...not how any of this shite works

to the point...you are just wrong and that is ok.

LMAO at this dumbass take. You obviously just started watching football. Herschel should have won Heisman as a freshman. Did you watch their games! SMDH

Bo straight up ran away from the secondary even though they had the angle.

You obviously never played Tecmo Super Bowl and used Bo Jackson.

Bo Jackson and Jerry Rice on the quick slant. You were banned from playing with the Raiders and 49ers at my house.

Also Lawrence Taylor on the edge with the dive button, sack 80% of the time.

Walker was at the tail end of world class speed in 1982 at 10.23...

He got seventh in the NCAA final...

But if he had focused only on track and field... He probably would have been 20 lbs lighter and who knows how much faster.

As far as Bo goes... The best nw time I could find is 10.44. Not world class but still top end speed for a running back. Particularly one that big.

Marcus Dupree was maybe in Bo's range speed wise as all we have on him is a 9.5 100 yards as an underclassman in high school.

Do you mean all those thunderous dunks he's doing at 40? Yeah, who couldn't do that? Power and speed. I doubt LeBron has ever stepped on the court and not been the fastest guy in his entire career. Power, speed, and hops. Crazy genetics.

Amazing how even seeing is not believing when we just can't stop hating.

I had the good fortune of seeing Herschel run the ball live when he was @UGA. He was a freaking tank.
