LSU.

Family are all longhorns. Wanted to do Construction Management before law school, and A&M/LSU are 2 of the best. Decided on A&M because it was half the distance and my buddy needed a roommate. Was brainwashed at Fish Camp and the rest is history

Also realized that reading case studies was boring as frick and that Law School Tuition was ~3x the amount of undergrad so I just stuck with CM.

Nah. I was fully willing to go to Georgia State or GT to avoid UGA if my parents had decided I couldn't go to Auburn (out of state $$). Would have been stupid to end up at GSU, but I was 18 and stupid was a pretty common theme. I got into Clemson but I don't really remember why. At that age you're sometimes flattered by whoever shows interest so maybe that was part of it.

I did consider South Carolina for law school because they threw around money, but it wasn't ever very serious.

Considered Ole Miss. Wanted to go UGA but didn't make sense financially compared to Arkansas and Ole Miss.

Grew up my entire life off of bright side (2 minutes from LSU’s) campus. I go to Tennessee now

Played high school ball and went down with my knee. Had a ride to FSU that got pulled. Lost my girlfriend to the back-up QB. Wanted to go to an SEC school but stayed home and worked part time at the Wal-Mart. Got a sweet gig coaching my high school though after the coach left here in the west part of the town. My good friend wanted to go to Brown but something was wrong with his transcripts...we eventually cleared that up though.

I was either going to attend Auburn or Bama. That's all I really thought about growing up in the state of Alabama. Visited Birmingham Southern because my mom is an alum, and its a nice school, but I wanted to go to a big football school. Fell in love with Auburn and never looked back.

After high school my choices were Troy and South Alabama. My parents couldn't afford to send me to Troy so I stayed home and went to South. After my sophomore year I chose Bama over Georgia Tech. It just made more sense financially.

Not to sound like a prick but is Troy an expensive school to attend?

The tuition was among the least expensive in the state...but room and board was almost $2k more than tuition. If I remember correctly freshmen had to live on campus. My folks weren't having that lol.

LSU is the only school in the SEC I wanted to go to and it's because I'm a fan. If I wasn't an LSU fan, I sure as frick wouldn't try to go to an SEC school.

Not SEC. Almost went to Miami (FL).

Didn't have great football then, but ohhhh the women.

I applied to UF, Miami and AU. Would have loved to have gone to UM, just couldn't afford it.

In HS I planned on LSU unless I got a scholarship to Vanderbilt or USC (the real USC, not South Carolina) cause out-of-state tuition for undergrad is a waste of money IMO. Was a huge LSU fan growing up. But midway senior year my parents decided to move to Houston after HS graduation, so I jumped at the chance to go to Texas. ETA - Degree is in CS so UT was my first choice.

ETA 2 - My freshman year was the year Colt got hurt in the national championship. I had no idea of the suckage that would follow

I almost went to Alabama or Auburn. But I ended up out of state to Mississippi State. I was glad I did it.

Got down to LSU, Bama, Auburn and UGA.

Actually went to Bama Bound day, but ended up taking a gamble and going 8 hours away from home to LSU.

Best years of my life so far were in Baton Rouge and it was easily the best decision I ever made.

I was so close to enrolling at Tulane (B.S.Arch) and I had a blast during my visit.

Seems like just yesterday but it was a long time ago.
