Exactly. Under the present circumstances and even if the driver is found to have been drinking there aren’t going to be any penalties for Kirby or the football program.

Lonnie this morning: I think I am going to spend my day focking with UGA fans. Better stretch first.

And how will that affect the players on the field again?

What you likely see and the Vegas experts agree is a 12-0 regular season and a favorite to win the Natty again. But thanks for your inquiries.

Lol so what do you expect to come of this huh?

A mass exodus of coaches leaving Georgia to keep their careers going, and Kirby left on an island.

This tragedy was completely avoidable. University recruiting employees drunk and killed with UGA players at 3am is not good.

Another upstanding and credible source.

Here's one of their other headlines: I’m dating a 23-year-old woman who looks like an 8-year-old girl — I’m not a creep

“You serious Clark”

Any uga fan who doesn’t think this is a big deal should google the personal injury attorney hired by the Willock family. Undergraduate degree from Harvard. Considered one of top attorneys in SC.

What are those difficult questions

The ones on here that folks are already asking.

Why was a university employee out with a student athlete at 2am.
Were any university funds used at said establishment?
Were they in a rented UGA vehicle?
Were they intoxicated?
What was the nature of the relationship between the athletes and employees?

Okay down for a wager? I bet other than a possible settlement for Willock’s parents nothing will come from this and no assistant will leave because of this situation.

The only thing I see with this is that there is a little racial overtones once again.
It was a black student-athlete and a white staff trainer.
Is this what the op is trying to say?

The public will be asking questions. However, they don't/won't have access to the people that can/will answer them.

But the media will hear those questions and ask them for the public.

Short term or long term? Short term I think Kirby is going to have to answer a bunch of difficult questions. Those will be coming from the school administration, the public and media outlets. What happens next depends on the answers to those questions and what else is uncovered as folks dig deeper into the situation. Honestly, in my mind that future is too murky to discern at this point. But I do know, you don't want people looking around, nothing good ever comes from it.

There are certainly questions to be answered. The reality is until the toxicology results, timelines of who/what/where, and the UGAAA states what role the ladies were playing if any in a UGAAA role it’s all speculation. What we currently know is two young adults are dead and it’s a tragedy.

It’s unfortunate but SOP for this board to target any school going through anything that is remotely questionable. One of the reasons I haven’t commented on these threads is I expected UGA to get slammed by this by opposing fan bases.

The facts and test results will come out. UGAAA and its umbrella insurance policy will pay out in addition to settlements with the families. None of that will bring those two young adults back though. The net result for UGAAA will be new policies and procedures that hopefully prevent this type of tragedy from ever occurring again.

Ever heard of “lack of institutional control?” This will ripple from AD dept to the university President.

mean university employees go to a strip club with players and then ending up in a deadly car crash is very bad. That isn’t really just a “oh well” thing

why would it matter if they were at a strip club opposed to a pizza place or a concert? People want to make somethign nefarious because "OMG STRIP CLUB" and to my knowledge there is currently no evicence of alcohol or drugs at play either.

Where this group of 4 was hanging out socializing prior ot the driver going way, way too fast is kind of irrelevant.

Thank you for your well reasoned response. I agree with almost all of what you said.

It's unfortunate that given the SOP for this board and the default mode to be trolling, that folks mistake this thread for that. I emphatically tell you it isn't. If anything, it's a melancholy admonition to UGA fans about what the future their program might hold.

And if you think that any of those questions would result in some sort of major roadblock for the football program going forward you’re delusional. Let’s go with a hypothetical let’s say Lecroy and Willock had a relationship and that she was drunk while driving a vehicle that was rented by the university. What exactly do you think would happen? A settlement for the Willock family covered by the universities umbrella insurance and stricter guidelines regarding recruiting hostesses. That’s it.
