Lol you are. One was on tape talking about buying players. One had a player actively saying he was being paid and had tapes. That's not really tomayto/tomahto. I'm not saying nothing is going to come of this but I would think they need a little more. Pat Dye is not a direct comparison.

Just like Ole Miss football a few years ago....LSU BB is about to be over. OM fans denied it and that turned out well.

Pretty convenient that March 31'st is before April fools day.

This.
But there definitely needs to at least be a full NCAA investigation into Wade and the LSU program, I think everybody (including LSU fans) can agree on that.

Wildcheat fans are the best. Guess their selective memory includes forgetting that scummy Cal paid good money for his on only title at Kentucky.
Early Friday morning, the Web site published another story by O'Brien that stated "sources from three separate universities told the Sun-Times that Davis Sr. asked for money in return for his son's commitment, with the amount ranging from $125,000 to $150,000."

If the NCAA tries to slap LSU with a NOA, the school should ask the NCAA what happened with their investigation into the UK BB program that included 3 witnesses to back up this story?

Did you actually read the article you linked? I don’t think it says what you think it says.
(Also, use of something as lame as “Wildcheat” should result in a ban. Turrible.)

I read the article. Did you? Whatever happened the lawsuit Davis Sr was going to slap on that reporter? Funny how he backed out on that once the paper admitted they had 3 sources to back up their story.
But my main question is why didn't the NCAA investigate this matter?
If the NCAA tries to hit LSU with anything, the school's lawyers should publicly demand answers on why the NCAA refuses to act on certain cases, like this Davis case.

The school will not have enough goodwill and public reputation to pull this off. LSU getting in trouble because their coach was caught making profanity-laden allusions to “strong-arse offers” won’t give them the same public support that Mizzou had when they got fricked over due to a rogue booster.
Your school has backed themselves into a corner by deciding to defend and stick with Wade. If you hd fired him, then you would have had more leverage with the NCAA.
Wade will be fired due to this and LSU will self investigate and self report anything they find to save face. Doubt NCAA issues any major sanctions, but it’s time to fave facts that Wade is toast.

Guess we will see. Would love to hear from the NCAA on why they refused to look into certain violations, like the AD pay-for-play scheme, while sanctioning other schools.
