If WW goes down, he’s taking Calipari, Coach K, and all the others with him.

So in other words, he’s not going anywhere.

They don't need a paper trail they have him on tape admitting to offering players money to come there. That's plenty of enough evidence. He has denied saying the stuff in the transcripts til now, not gonna be able to deny it after this.

Isn't that the same Dawkins that was convicted of bribery and sentenced to a year in prison? I'm going to need someone who is credible.

They do? What was the dollar amount that Wade said he offered?

If you think these coaches don’t have dirt on each other (including evidence), you’re naive.

He is on wiretap saying he offered one guy more than the NBA rookie minimum contract.

You sure about that? He never said anything about the NBA or a contract that we know of.

Wade joked to Dawkins in a separate phone call that the player would be compensated more than the “rookie minimum,” to ESPN, which said it independently confirmed the contents of the wiretapped phone call after Yahoo! Sports first reported its contents Thursday.

Wade has denied having any association with Dawkins, gonna be pretty hard to deny it now with actual audio of them talking, discussing paying recruits

No, Wade said he’s never done business with Dawkins!! Big difference, get your facts right.

Well read the article about the HBO documentary, people who have seen it say that he is on audio saying exactly what I quoted.

We'll see what comes out of it. He may be screwed. I try to stay out of the discussions about it because I love the guy and don't have a lot of objectivity on the subject.

I don't hate Wade and think he is a good coach, but having the audio that proves what he said instead of transcripts of something he allegedly said is different. Who knows how it will turn out.

The transcripts were submitted as evidence in a federal trial. If the transcript isn’t verbatim then the trial would get tossed.

no, they weren't. The judge ruled them inadmissible. If they had played them in court, the NCAA would have heard them or seen the transcript. The NCAA asked the FEDS to turn over the tapes, but the FEDS refused.

LINK

quote:

Stan Wilcox, the NCAA’s executive vice president for regulatory affairs, told the Athletic on Thursday that federal officials will not turn over all of the information gathered in its investigation into college basketball.

“They have not agreed to provide us with all of the information we’re asking for,’’ Wilcox told the Athletic. “There are some wiretaps that were not presented in court, that may have been listened to in judge’s chambers and such, that we would love to get our hands on. But that hasn’t been offered to us at this point.’’

They're about to have their hands on them.

IIRC, there is [admittedly shitty] precedent dictating that the NCAA can't use evidence submitted in a criminal trial.

Isn't this how Penn State got all their wins back from ... you know what?
