we played 75 players the first 2 games so you probably saw everyone on the team that wasn't hurt play. i think we have 78-80 on roster. We do have a really deep DL that is better than LSU's. sorry not sorry but true... rest of defense LB are good... secondary is weak spot but its not like LSU is running the spread with best passing game in country. If we don't come out flat i think our chances of winning are 80% if we come out flat i think our chances of winning are 40%.

LSU has a fast, physical defense and a physical running game on offense. These are two ingredients that have given State problems under Mullen. State's defense is a lot better this year and Fitz has some experience. It should be a really good game between two good teams.

you're out of your mind if you think State puts 28 on LSU's D.

Well I'm not a Gump so football doesn't make me cry.

If Steele was still here maybe. but not on aranda. Dak only did it once. Fitz isn't Dak. He isn't a bad QB. I like Fitz. But LSU isn't Charleston So or LA Tech.

So if LSU wins by 2-3 TDs you think it's just because State "came out flat"

Based on La Tech or Charleston So. Because that is who State has played. State is my #2 team. I love some bulldogs.

But why do state fans think they are Bama when they play LSU? State has one 4 times since 1985. Literally 4 times.

The fact we've only won fore times since 1985 has no impact on this game.

I agree. My point was that there is no base for Bama-esq confidence that some people have that State is going to go off on LSU.

I think it will be a good game. LSU still has some kinks to work out offensively and need better production from their kickers.

That being said, MSU shouldn't be too confident either. Fitz looked like crap early on against LA Tech and 12/18 for 124 is unimpressive.

Take away sacks and the 87 yard fumble and MSU gave up 41 carries for 247 yards and a 6.02 YPC average.

Offensively, MSU had 459 yards against LA Tech, but Tech gave up 389 to NW LA the week before.

Of course none of this means much when you are looking at 2 SEC teams playing each other. I just don't see MSU putting up very many points against Aranda's D. The question will be, how far along LSU is in getting comfortable with Canada's offense.

Are you that blind? That was a tongue-in-cheek response to the original post I quoted:

No..that's just so wrong.

La Tech had 152 on the ground. Let's add back the 87. That moves it to 239.

NOW let's get honest on who was on the field, because it matters. 4th quarter was the emptying of the bench. So those 92 yards you can subtract. That's 147.

Now move to the 3rd quarter when subs came in. (score was 57-14)... Subs come in. That's another 20 yards... Down to 127.
