Louisville's "D" last year in conference was
#1 in total defense
#1 in rush defense
#1 in ypc allowed
#1 in forced turnovers
#3 in scoring defense.
The only ACC team to put up better numbers than LSU vs that defense was Clemson. You know about that team and "O", right?
Don't dog the ACC. They put it to the SEC heads up last year.

Hard to pull stats from a small body of work against sub-talented teams, but judging by what I've SEEN of LSU's defense, they are FAST! They also run fit well! But they are REALLY freaking fast! If Key and Lawrence are back...
Only ways Fitz will be effective are scrambles with LSU in man coverage IF the D-linemen get way out of their lanes. But LSU's pass rushers tend to bend and run so well that they are wrapping you up faster than you realize.
Also could have success if his tight ends and WRs are allowed to pick and push off.
If the tight ends are the key to a big MSU upset, I'll be shocked. The tight ends are USUALLY not game breakers, but ya never know.
MSU will average under 3 yards a carry by everyone other than a possible long scramble increasing Fitz's average.
Guice and Chark will get the ball in space enough to start wearing down the big boys up front for State. Guice runs for 150 and 2 TDs. Chark has 170 all-purpose yards and 2 TDs
LSU wins 38-17 with a late, garbage-time Fitz score on a scramble. The rest of the SEC takes note that LSU no longer sits on small margins in the second half. IMO LSU under O and Canada will shred MSU.

Of course he isn't the "main threat" of the offense. We do have Guice as a running back. You can make the same argument about Bama. Their passing game is not their biggest threat. It doesn't mean that Etling or Hurts are not capable of throwing passes.
You also can't take what our offense looked like last year and say "that's how you will look this year". You simply don't know that. Is Etling some superstar QB? No. Not even close. But that doesn't mean he isn't capable of making plays especially in the new system with a much better offensive coordinator.

Lsu wins comfortably 31 to 14 or something like that. We arent going to play down o our opponents thag clearly do have as much talent as we have. We also aren't going to be one-dimensional on offense like we're were under miles. TItaly different tewm. Geaux tigers.

Definitely impressed so far by MSU. This will be a tough matchup for us, and will be a huge test for our o-line.
Hopefully Canada has a good game plan for dealing with the pressure msu is likely to get on our qb.

Etling done good this year. But your coach would start Fitz over him tomorrow if he had him. Your coach knows it. All your players would do it. Etling knows it. Every LSU fan knows it and would do it too. Absolutely every single fan. If they say different, they're a gotdam liar.

Matt Canada takes what the defense gives him. BYU puts only 6 in the box, he's gonna run it down their throats all game and that's what he did. Against Chattanooga, run/pass was perfectly balanced. Idk what else to tell you lol

Jesus Christ. You think everyone would want your quarterback over their own because Danny Etling has a good qbr through 2 games against 2 shitty football teams when he has nothing but 4 and 5 star talent around him? Danny Etling would win 4 games if you surround him with state's offensive players. Fitz will win 7 or 8. You can say that about basically every other quarterback in the conference in regards to Etling outside of Alabama.
