Seems like they did the best they could to give the power schools/expected contenders lesser opponents out of the gate, am I wrong? I mean it can't be a coincidence that every game outside of Tennessee/SC seems to favor one team with higher expectations this season.

It's still better than the usual 3 good OOC games the first week and a bunch of cupcakes.

Our pass defense is sneaky good after having a bunch of young talent have to fill in all season for injuries and NFL defections. They won't have the numbers they did last season given they'll face some bigger passing offenses, but it'll be a good test to see exactly where they stand with Nix.

It’s exactly what they did, which makes me think they aren’t even planning on making it to the end. This scheduling stuff would definitely become major drama come selection time.
Are they just trying to get in wins for Alabama, LSU, Georgia? That’s what it looks like.

Maybe they went with these games thinking some players might be missing due to early season Covid.
Hoping as the season goes on less players missing. Not saying I agree with this, just guessing the rational.
