Of course it does, but Kirby Smart was not coaching here before 2016, so lack of championships during that time period is irrelevant to the Kirby Smart era.

You can say the university hasn’t had a natty since 1980, but saying Georgia will do what they’ve always done since 1980 makes no sense, because the players and coaches were not here to have always been the reason for a lack of a natty.

So they’re not the actual champs till they win the championship? Interesting.

Still haven’t seen UGA defend the pass or be forced to throw the ball a lot. Until I see otherwise, I’ll continue to think Saban’s transition to a modern offense will put him past Kirby’s 2010 mindframe. If you can achieve parity at the point of attack, yet also throw the ball with proficiency, you can beat UGA. With that said, there’s probably only one team in America that can actually do that this year.
