I'd like for you to pretend for just a second that you are a coach, and you have to look the RB in the eye and say: "I know you practiced hard all week and gave it all on the field through almost all of the game. Now, here in the last minute, I want you go go out there and take the gas off and NOT do your best for the team."
If you can honestly say that... then I don't want you as an Alabama fan.

I woke up at 2am thinking about this dumb arse thread.
4th & 3. We ran the ball.
What should we have done that would have been more “classy?” Throw the ball? Kick an easy field goal that would have definitely added more points? Take a knee, which would have stopped the clock and given the ball back to Vandy?
Saban routinely went for it on 4th down late in the game in these situations, btw, for the aforementioned implied reasons.

4th and 2 with a basic run play to get the first down to end the game. Vandy had given up and the play opened up. Was Jam supposed to stop and kneel at the 1 yard line?

Im pissed Bama didnt do an onside kick after scoring the last TD. Its a 60 minute game and you play until the last whistle.

You do understand that it was 4th and 2 with 17 seconds left in the 4th quarter. You don't want to give Vandy the ball back. they could've kicked field goal and be done with it, but This was the right decision.
