They lost to Texas. Is it a one game season?

UGA wasn't conference Champs. They had no argument to let UGA in over UT and definitely not Bama. They barely could make up any to keep FSU out.

Georgia's the team that deserves to bitch a little, not Florida St.

They fell 5 spots to number 6 after losing to Bama.

Ohio St. fell 4 spots after losing to Michigan.

They need to make every P5 team play two P5 teams OOC. We would have a better understanding of who the best conferences are and be able to make more educated decisions.

You mean like how FSU did and Bama didn't?

FSU was not gonna be competitive without its starting QB
Research the criteria for picking the top 4. You just made a great argument for Alabama being 4th. If ESPN wrote the criteria, that's news to me.

It was never about who deserves to get in and all about attracting the eyeballs. FSU was not gonna be competitive without its starting QB and ESPN didn't want another lopsided semifinal, which would've hurt their TV ratings, so they lobbied the committee to leave the Seminoles out.

Thanks for refuting your own thread in the OP by admitting that FSU was not one of the top four teams.

Well done.

you nailed it

when they took the computers out of it, this is what it became. it's not about what's "fair" or deserving. it's about eyeballs. they want to put competitive product on TV for ratings.

They played 2 $EC teams and beat them.

They beat the number 3 team in the West and the number 4 in the East. They played 2 average SEC teams OOC and they still were not able to have better than a 55 SOS.

They played the teams on their schedule. And beat them.

You can thank unbalanced conferences and schedules for this. They need to make every P5 team play two P5 teams OOC.
FSU did that. Beat LSU and Florida on the road.

So they replaced a team that wasn't going to be competitive with one that was?

That’s exactly what they did.

It almost sounds like they picked the better team to fill that spot.

Tell that to Florida and Louisville whom they beat with their 2nd and 3rd string QB. If anything, their performance in the last two games should have put them in.

You know what screams dominant? Knocking off the two time national champion who is ranked #1 with an undefeated regular season.

What really screams dominant is needing a kick six level miracle to beat a six-loss team who had just had their stool pushed in at home by New Mexico Frigging State.

That’s some domination right there.

I’m aware. Did the rest of their conference? Did Michigan? Michigan is who you should be mad at, not Alabama.

And those were the best teams they played. Their conference is trash, that’s why they got left out.

They lost to Texas at home by double digits…but that doesn’t matter when your conference is owned by ESPN.
