My impression is that 2020 Bama was considerably better than the 2019 Bama that gave "the greatest team of all time" all it could handle

They way you guys cling to that is pathetic.

Your like Norma Desmond polishing her 1927 Oscar.

But beating that Alabama team in 2019 at BD Stadium is proving to be a hell of accomplishment given that no Saban team at Alabama has produced 10 First Round picks in back to back drafts.

You're out of your mind. The 2019 BAMA defense was the worst of the Nick Saban era back to 2007. Statistically and physically. Injuries galore and a first-year DC who was struggling to simplify and communicate his schemes for a bunch of freshmen and newbies that were forced into playing time way before their time. 2019 was all offense and a MASH unite on defense all season. The most incomplete BAMA team of the coach Saban era.

Alabama's 2019 and 2020 NFL drafts had 10 first round picks. That is the most Saban has ever had in back to back NLF drafts. No I am not out of my mind, the 2019 Bama team had 9 First round picks on the field that day when LSU won (Mac was the backup and he is the 10th First rounder). That is 100% factually correct. Do I have go back and list them for you. And Defense today is not what it was in the past. Offensive football rules the day.

Year Round Pick Player Name Team Position
2021 1 6 6 Jaylen Waddle Dolphins WR
1 9 9 Patrick Surtain Broncos DB
1 10 10 DeVonta Smith Eagles WR
1 15 15 Mac Jones Patriots QB
1 17 17 Alex Leatherwood Raiders T
1 24 24 Najee Harris Steelers RB
2 5 37 Landon Dickerson Eagles C
2 6 38 Christian Barmore Patriots DT
2020 1 5 5 Tua Tagovailoa Dolphins QB
1 10 10 Jedrick Wills Browns T
1 12 12 Henry Ruggs Raiders WR
1 15 15 Jerry Jeudy Broncos WR
2 4 36 Xavier McKinney Giants DB
2 19 51 Trevon Diggs Cowboys DB
2 24 56 Raekwon Davis Dolphins DT
3 20 84 Terrell Lewis Rams DE
3 23 87 Anfernee Jennings Patriots DE

So again go back and watch the 2019 tape, Waddle, Surtain, DeVonta Smith, Leatherwood, Najee, Tua, Willis, Ruggs and Juedy all played in that game every snap.

There is your 9 NFL 1st round picks on the field that day. In total, there were 17 1st to 3rd rounders (16 played in that game). I have reviewed Alabama's Draft history under Saban and I can't find any such level of "Talent" produced in back to back NFL drafts.

Perhaps you can review Bama's NFL Draft history under Saban and tell me if I missed something.

another fact is that bamameister is 200% damaged by 2019 BSOATDS and shall not recover.

The Alabama draft has produced 16 1st round picks in the last 3 years. Only 2 were on the defense. Quinnen Williams and Patrick Surtain.

And that still doesn't come close to telling the story of the 2019 defense with too many injuries to keep up with. It was a MASH unit all year. Otherwise, LSU never gets out of Tuscaloosa.

If you can do even elementary math, which may very well be in doubt here, why don't you statistically prove me wrong? Careful, there may not be an emoji for that.

Elementary math?

You're the one who can't count how many injuries your defense had by your own admission.

Wow it is amazing to see the tears and the hurt the Joe Burrow and company smacked your team in the arse in 2019. All of your six first rounders got their arse beat in 2019. I normally don’t bash Bama I respect the program but comments like this reminds me of how Governor Cuomo is trying to cover his arse. Come on man

5 pt loss behind a QB 2 weeks off of major ankle surgery.

I'm not jumping into a troll. It is just that "arse beating" is pure hyperbole given the context. Lsu had the better team that day. And, a valid GOAT season argument. But, all of those players are likely okay with how things turned out.

2011 and 2019 Bama vs LSU are case studies in talent parity. The first was elite defense and the second elite offense. Pretty amazing the shift in philosophy and the depth of elite players on the rosters in each game
