That the NCAA recognizes, yes.

We don't claim football for 1941.

State has won two national titles in Disc Golf, but that's a club sport.

Good question - too bad ESPN didn’t bother to research this or they could have provided an answer, at least once during the CWS broadcasts.

First team sport.

Didn’t one of our men’s tennis players win an individual national title few years ago?

State should be in the running for another CWS Championship next year.

State had the top three javelin throwers in the NCAA this spring, so State won the national championship (again) in javelin. This year one finished first in the Olympic trials and is going to the Olympics. Don't know what happened to the other two in the trials, they might be throwing for different countries.

Baseball is the most volatile, unpredictable sport. Players develop or fall out with astonishing speed over the course of the season. There's not a D1 baseball coach out there who knows on Jan 1st what his team is gonna look like on June 1st. That's what we love about it.

Had a hell of chance during the COVID year too. Lost three 1st and 2nd rounders from that team. Will forever wonder “what if” with that team. Next year should be good, but I’m not sure if it’s natty good. Depends on how young guys like Forsythe and Clark develop in the offseason.

ULM/NLU has won 29 water ski national championships. The alligator can be a great motivational tool.
