Was Landon Collins as good as advertised?

I am not sure if LC was red-shirted at Bama or not, but I never saw him on the field. With his stature as the #1 DB in the nation out of HS, why didn't he play? Bama's DB's this year were good but not as good IMHO as in previous years.

LSU is playing freshmen if they are the best players available. Does Saban not? If he does play the best players, then Collins must be lacking. Agree or disagree?

You're asking why a freshmen didn't start for a National Championship squad. Lets just think about that.

He played ST. He didn't start because Bama has several #1 DB recruits that are sophomores and juniors

This. He's already made an impact in the small amount of time he's played. He'll be tough to pass against in the next couple years.

Why are you so concerned about our roster? Surely y'all have some players waiting on a nickname?

He didn't play because Bama's backups are always better than their starters. Its part of the process, duh.

He's probably not a great human.
Seems to have little concept of pride or loyalty.
He will be a good player.

WAY TOO EARLY for this kind of where's his production thread.

No, he didn't play much because he has proven guys ahead of him. ALSO not many freshmen play a lot on NC squads....unless your names are Cooper and Yeldon.

Because he chose to go somewhere other than LSU? I was unaware LA players had an obligation to go to LSU.

ETA: y'all got the #1 recruit from Alabama that year and I have never seen anyone complain about it.
ETA 2: Kwon was not #1. Confused him with someone else.

This is a sad flame attempt. Collins will be good when his time comes. He's behind other top players. Just like LSU. We have top rated players waiting their turn. That's how it is at elite schools.

I think he's referring to Kwon Alexander who started for LSU at OLB before getting hurt midway through the season. I didn't think he was #1 though.
