Do they though? The PAC 12 is defense optional every year

Yeah, they might have re-ranked, but he was off the radar bc he never played football until his junior year in High School. He was a basketball guy up until then. Crazy how he was so good in college.
Right, maybe as a recruit. But the notion that Manziel had no help is silly. He was throwing to a NFL Hall-of-Famer.

It was not Jonny Manziel that made their team but their Offensive Line. He got the credit but that O'line was great.

Johnny played much tougher teams back then. Like not even comparable talent wise the defenses he faced

Jayden’s evolution has been incredible and one reason I think some may be overboard about him is because he was pretty one dimensional last year and plenty of folks didn’t like him but he had some insanely focused off season and put it all together. So it’s been a journey.

If only we could have been a 3 loss SEC West Champ with some sad story of why it was super special lmao

I understand you’re trolling, but perhaps you could post their respective numbers and let the rest of us compare them for ourselves instead of taking your “objective” word for it.

This simply isn’t true. If you take away Daniels rushing yards, Washington has more yards on the ground than LSU.

Johnny didn’t get 5 years of football to make it happen. His support cast was all low ranked guys that were developed. You guys can say all day you prefer JD, it really I don’t know why you guys keep making JD vs Johnny threads(l know OP is an Ag, but lsu fans started this topic). This is the 4th one this week.

Nevermind, I just looked them up. No wonder you didn’t post them.

Okay okay. You’ve got a point on a head to head. Not saying there’s no counterpoints, there are. But you have a point.

I mean Daniels is basically the whole run game.

LSU has really solid RBs. But Daniels is just a freak show running the ball and throwing so they just don't get a ton of carries. The point simply is that Washington has more yardage from running backs than LSU does, so this Penix doesn't have a running game is nonsense.

Objectively false.
Daniels is only just over a third of LSU's rushing yardage on the year.

Daniels has accounted for 918 yards out of LSU's 2239 rushing yards. Which means LSU has averaged 132 yards per game from their other runners.

JD has improved his passing game every year and is the total package this year. Honestly, he should win the Heisman but we know the fickle parameters behind the award result in disputed winners some years. Great player who I never thought would have a shot playing in the NFL the 1st time I saw him play in college. Major transformation over the last few years. Has the tools to succeed at next level. Gain some good weight and remember to slide at the next level. Good luck to him.
