LSU isn't some perennial mediocre program like Texas A&M.
It pretty well is aside from Saban.
And yet the next 2 coaches won National Championships the second one 16 years after Saban left—the second most NC’s behind Bama in the 2000’s— but yea Bama fans keep using that line like it means anything or remotely true.

The first one was with the remnants of Saban's teams and still took a incredibly lucky scenario to even get in the game. Only 2 loss champ in like what, 30 years?
Last year was lightening in a bottle with a transfer QB and apparent offensive savant.
So yeah, it's true.

Saban's LSU title was with the remnants of DiNardo's teams.
Saban's first Alabama title was with the remnants of Shula's teams

So what's your point? Saban is so good he won with a terrible coach's players twice? And then won 4 more? Solid argument there boss.

Just being fair and not simply making biased statements in favor of Saban like you're doing.
He's the best coach in NCAA history, he doesn't need an uneducated Bammer to white knight for him

So facts are biased. Go figure.

I’m go out on a limb and say they believe it was worth it. What they had last year will stay with them a lifetime. It’s definitely why I don’t take what Bama has done for granted.

Nah, just your statement

If A&M won a title this year and an LSU fan posted early in the 2021 season, “was it worth it A&M fans? Waiting since 1939 to win another national title?”
You’d say yes! Because an insult that involves a recent national title is not actually an insult.

Which was fact. So sorry.

Takes 10+ years to finally get to another title and then plummets to the bottom of the league. Must be awful.
There are 9 SEC teams that haven’t won a national title in the last 40 years.
LSU has 3 in the last 16 years.
Us LSU fans feel okay trust me.

viceman...still my favorite Bama poster.

You mean “season.” In no way is LSU a sub-.500 “program.”
And yes. I would happily take the euphoric joy of last season for a bad year this year. Much better than going 7-5 every year and never winning anything like A&M does.

Thanks for admitting I was right. Was I wrong about LSU having the second most NC behind Bama in the last 20 years?

I have to say I’d probably take that deal, depending on how long the fallout lasted.
This is one of the dumbest questions I've ever seen asked here.
Even as an Alabama fan I'd take it if my choices were no NC and NC but then bad season after. Everything with Saban after 2009 has been icing on the cake for me. Lots and lots of delicious icing.

No kidding. We havnt had a sub-.500 season since the 90’s and we’ve also been to 20 straight bowl games along with the 3 NC’s in that same period— Some might argue we’ve been the most consistent program of the last 2 decades.

This guy
Question directed to LSU fans and you put on your Bama hat to answer.
“Muh 5 titles in 9 years”
We get it...Saban has created a program unlike any other. If someone came up to you in 2008 and offered you this? Or even 2010?
At this exact point, maybe Clemson says it’s not worth it also. If lightning in a bottle means LSU is still in the top half percent of CFB, I’ll gladly accept.

What a dumb arse comment.
