Could the refs have reviewed the play if they had caught it?

They why did no one talk about it until after the game was over and the booth had picked it up and showed it? Why did they just have a segment explaining why it wasn’t obvious in the moment?

The announcers can be forgiven for not catching it. They are trying to think about what is happening next. Not their job to watch the play that close. Cmon guys. This was obvious. Refs blew it and Auburn should be representing the SEC in final dance. What a late run. Only to be beaten by the refs.

Yeah but they fouled Brown on the desperate shot with 0.6 seconds left and nothing’s being said about it. Go back and watch there’s contact.

Should've been AU ball with 1.5 sec left. No doubt in my mind.

Did anyone think it was in real time? Fans weren’t outraged, commentators didn’t say anything.

I thought it looked like it, but I kind of assumed Auburn must have touched it, because that's what happens 97% of the time.

So yea, it's so real time and such a weird play it's understandable how it's missed.

Agree the refs should have caught it.

We’re arguing over what would be obvious.

Imagine calling a double if it actually had been knocked away. Very tough real time call. Best to just let it play out there.

I agree. On situational calls late best to just let it play out. Oh yea, they called a foul on auburn.

I’ll be sure to tell my boss that if I miss out on a lucrative contract cause I don’t know how to do my job.

It would have been, if Brown hadn't already fouled him.

I was pulling for Auburn, but the foul on the 3 was legit, and the double dribble, after watching the replay, would have been negated if they had actually called the first foul on Brown.

Doesn't change the fact that it was a hell of a season, and Pearl is a hell of a coach.
