Was Houston & UNC actually quality wins?

Looking at their schedule and Houston hasn’t beaten a ranked team all season. Their best win was @ an unranked Oregon by 10 points. North Carolina in now 6-4 and unranked.
Those bama quality wins seem to be lacking in the quality dept.

For the time being Houston seems impressive.

A win is a win though, right?

It is December. Remember all the hype of UFs football team in September?

They’ll almost certainly end as Quad 1 and 2 wins respectively

UNc has issues. Houston was a nice win, especially in their house.

UNC? No, but the Houston win is a good win

And Houston was looking for revenge after last year.
Who knows if it was a quality win, we will only know that after the season honestly.
The bottom line is Alabama is 9-1

edit to add- jumped the gun, Bama is 8-1

I remember hearing similar sentiments about the Bama football team in 2008...

Funny how an undefeated #1 ranked team in the country suddenly isn't all that good after Bama beats them on their court.

Both were ranked #1 at the time Bama beat them. That record stands regardless of your opinion of whether they should have been #1 or not.

It's basketball, regular season is meaningless. 68 freaking teams make the tournament. Stupid.

Good point, they would have been better off losing.

Sampson is a system coach much like Nolan Richardson, but not much of an X and O coach. They foul a ton and expect the refs not to call all of them. He wouldnt make it with SEC refs

I think objectively the @Houston win is a pretty quality win. Even if Houston isnt top 8 by seasons end, that is a good win.
UNC is not very good this year, so beating them (ranked #1 at the time lol) is nice win but certainly not what it means most years.
Bama is a legit top 12 team imo.

I agree. We’re fringe top 25 at best.

I’m an LSU fan and I will admit Bama is Top 5 team right now. It’s still early so that might change but I see them as the SEC favorites, and that’s not a knock On UK or Arky. Todays win against UH was big time and I give credit where it’s due
