I thought you’d given up on football, big blue titties.

If I remember correctly, the divisions weren't adopted because they facilitated sound football scheduling (which they have not) but as a way secure authorization to add the conference championship game. Seems like it would've made more sense to approach the NCAA with a reasonable proposal to alter the post-season regulations. The enlarged conference size alone (preventing a round-robin) should've been sufficient criteria to allow the game: stipulating divisions was unnecessary.
Wait, did I say approach the NCAA with a reasonable proposal? Aw shite! I guess divisions were the SEC's only option.

Yes. The SEC wanted Missouri for the Kansas City and St Louis markets but no one in Kansas City and St Louis gives a shite about Missouri.

We feed off your hate. Every time you mention us, we get stronger. We are going to social justice so much harder now.

I’m in St. Louis and I give a shite. Everyone I know does too. I would have preferred the Big 10

How so?Do they not play anymore?
IT sucking the last 10 years had more to with rivalry going downhill
Expansion brought Millions into the coffers of SEC schools and enabled the conference to keep up with other conferences in the arms race for players and facilities. The less eyes on the product the less revenue produced.

They owned us in the 90's and have a 1 game lead in the rivalry.
Games are usually very close

Nah. Two large tv markets(not all but a decent share).
Two titles in the eastern conference. If if was so bad, why didn't y'all win?
I like to talk shite to some peeps here and there, but let us not go full-retard.

No. The SEC wanted St. Louis and Kansas City markets and Missouri adds that.

These trolling threads are always ridiculous
Missouri was a perfect addition to the east and they brought a huge chunk of money to the tv contract

Geographically and culturally absolutely its a resounding yes. Competitively no at the start but the SJW's really killed all momentum they had, so i guess yes. There was no way we could have seen that coming. Money wise it was very smart, however they weren't brought in for football, it was basketball and it looks as though they may be getting back on track this year on paper.

Wasn't a bad choice but looking back I think Maryland
would have been the better choice. The DC and Baltimore
TV markets are more lucrative and obviously closer geographically.
It was a homerun addition for the Big 10.Their new TV
contract will make the original members about $12 million more per year than SEC teams.
