Supposedly he's being thrown as much as two million in NIL to transfer. The list of schools ain't schools like Wake Forest. Parity? More like parody.

I'm taking NIL then NFL. 2 million for a season is not a bad way to start.

It's hilarious people thought the portal would be good for the little guy.

Every year you'll have a handful more like this where a guy starts small and blows the frick up then transfers to bama.

This is all Saban’s fault…and the SEC’s fault to a lesser degree.

Non-SEC fans got tired of Bama’s dynasty and other SEC teams winning championships when Bama didn’t. The CFB decided the best way to promote parity was to impede on a team’s ability to stockpile talent. It’s obviously shortsighted, but they’re grabbing at straws.

Portal w/ NIL is a no brainer for this guy. He’s not one of the top guys in this draft class. He could use another year and if that were at a higher profile program it could raise his draft stock for 24.

If you mean the NCAA, you couldn't be more wrong. They are weak now and really had no way to stop it. Once the courts made it legal, nothing they could do really.

The parity comes in the form of 15-20 nationally competitive teams that have a legitimate opportunity to win a championship year in and year out instead of 2 or 3 teams.

When the same inducement shite was happening under the table, the elite of the elite weren’t complaining about competitive imbalance.

The “little guy” is the no-name player buried on the depth chart and wants to try for a better fit elsewhere, or wants to transfer to be closer to home. These guys are now overshadowed by the more talented players who just want more money.

Yeah, frick those kids for wanting to get paid the most they can. I'm sure you take the pay younger at work and never ask for more.

I don't know. This guy probably is not gonna make a lot of money in the NFL. But he's great at college football, at least at Wake. Him getting a good bit of this money that he's made for others seems right.

But the idea that it's gonna really change things? I don't know. To me, the portal may help you go from good to great with a couple of players. If you are trying to fill ten to twenty percent of your roster with it? Don't think it will work.

Pay attention. I was making a point about who the “little guy” was in this situation, and it wasn’t all players.

The real question here is why is the NIL pay model so much for a QB with a somewhat limited NFL future?

It's because the NIL market is a bubble and over inflated right now. When "inverters" realize they aren't getting their ROI, things will correct themselves...

Much as I dislike Saban, he was against immediate transfer and NIL and correctly warned it would ruin things.

I wasn’t making a judgment on the decision for a bigger name player to transfer to make more money. I was just pointing out that the “little guy” is getting screwed because the free agency portal is likely causing them to miss out because of the bigger names that are entering to portal in larger numbers.

I thought it would be like this. And yes, we have already seen star players from smaller schools transfer to bigger programs. I get the concern that the smaller schools ID these diamonds and the rough, recruit them and take them on when the larger schools wouldn’t, and then they leave immediately once the bigger schools finally see how good they are after they’ve played at the smaller schools.

With that said, it’s impacted pretty much everyone and I didn’t see that coming. Big, small, historic power, current power, on the rise, on the decline, it doesn’t seem to matter. Everyone seems to be losing and gaining players.

ND’s starting QB entered the portal before the bowl game FFS.

Everyone, save for the playoff teams for the most part, had been impacted. And I expect them to have some guys too when it’s done.
