Newton ran over the whole SEC. It was hurtful, but most objective people can look back almost 10 years later and appreciate it.
Burrow ran over the whole SEC and used less lube. It was hurtful, and most of the fans of his victims still have PTSD.
Frankly, I'm surprised any non-LSU fan picked Burrow. At this point, they have to embrace Cam to keep from a full mental breakdown.

Place 2010 Cam Newton on the 2019 Auburn team. Ask yourself would Burrow and LSU have beaten a Cam-led 2019 team. The answer is no. Case dismissed.
Joe Burrow is an amazing player. Statistically speaking it was the greatest season I’ve ever seen. It was fun to watch LSU to see Burrow’s ridiculous accuracy. He’s an all-timer for sure. But with Cam as QB instead of Bo Nix, Joe doesn’t even have an SEC title in 2019.
