I told my grandson that the most important thing to do is not allow a base runner on when the weirdo came to bat because he’s hit 24 homers this year and a one run shot won’t matter while up 2.
For once I was right and his heroics weren’t crap. Good game, who thought it would be a pitching duel…

What does regular season baseball have to do with his point? Y'all got a regional where you got 2/3rds of your wins against a sub .500 team and still dropped a game to them.

DBU was also in our regional. LSU beat them 12-0.

LSU has played Little Rock twice, Dallas Baptist and West Virginia for a chance at Omaha.

Once again? In 2023, LSU played a national seed and SEC team in the supers. In 2017, LSU played a national seed and SEC team in the supers. In 2015 LSU played a 2 seed and instate rival ULL in the supers. In 2013, LSU played 2 seed Oklahoma in the supers. In 2009, LSU played national seed Rice in the supers. In 2008, LSU played UC Irvine in the supers.
Are there teams who have only played national seeds in the supers regionals to get to Omaha. I guess we could be playing Murray St or UTSA instead of a power conference champion.

And Ole Miss lost to Murray freaking state lol. DBU was widely regarded as a better 2 seed than most. Are we trying to say Murray State was better than DBU?
