This is actually probably a drawback this year for UT. With as much "newness" going on with UGA's offense, you probably would rather see us earlier? Replacing a few OL spots, and starting a transfer QB in a new system.

Of course, injury bug could make down the stretch a different picture, but I'd imagine UT would have preferred the regular scheduling timeframe than the late one this year.

For 2020 I can’t say if it’ll be better or worse, but I think generally, the new spot on the schedule will work out a lot better for us than the old one. We no longer have the yearly Florida-Georgia-Bama gauntlet that we would play in the span of 28 days, sometimes with the rotating West game thrown in.

This is Tennessee of the 21st century not the 20th century so everyone has a chance.

You are absolutely right on this. This is one season where we'd probably like to see you early so its ironic this is the season we start playing you late. Funny how that works. Although I bet you will still be ranked top 5/top 10 early in the season (when we normally would play) this year based on last season.

Hey, Vols&Shaft, are you referring to the Battle Captain lost to Ga. State and BYU? Was it one of those games that you and your mommy were kicked out of at Kneeland?

Awesome comeback. Quick question; when they throw you out of Kneeland do they just make you leave or do they chunk you in the river when they escort you out?

Vols are 7-23 against Florida the last 30 seasons, with 3 of those wins coming by 3 points or less.

The last 2 seasons, they've been outscored by 28.5 ppg.

Until they prove they can rush the passer or move the ball against a top 10 quality opponent, they should be a 17 point home dog against UF.

People keep penciling in UK as a win, but Kentucky went 8-5 this year with a WR at QB and they return everyone

They’ll be a top 3 team in the east next year

Proot’s first big win

@Auburn in 2018 was a big win at the time. Of course they proceeded to play like horseshite the rest of the year and water down the overall win quality.

Honestly our best win in terms of quality under Proot was Kentucky in 18. It didn’t feel like a huge win because we always expect to beat them, esp. in Neyland. But that was a legit top 15-20 team and we dominated them start to finish.
