People keep penciling in UK as a win, but Kentucky went 8-5 this year with a WR at QB and they return everyone

They’ll be a top 3 team in the east next year

They have to beat one of Oklahoma, Florida, Alabama or Georgia if they want to say they're improving and on the right track.

- Tennessee is 25-2 vs Kentucky in Knoxville in the last 55 years
- Tennessee is 17-0 vs Kentucky in Knoxville in the last 35 years

The following Tennessee teams beat Kentucky
- 2018 (5-7, 2-6)
- 2013 (5-7, 2-6)
- 2012 (5-7, 1-7)
- 2008 (5-7, 3-5)

Those 4 teams went 4-24 vs the SEC outside of Kentucky. Those 4 teams went 4-0 vs Kentucky.

In conclusion, it is unreasonable to ever knowingly pick Kentucky to beat Tennessee in football in the preseason. Double so when the game is in Knoxville.

Kentucky fans predicting a win over VOLS is kinda like VOLS fans predicting a win over Gators.

It’s not impossible, but it’s just a very silly look at this point

@Oklahoma seems like the best bet of the four imo.

That young albino Rattler may end up being very good but it will be quite the adjustment at first after having Mayfield/Murray/Hurts back to back to back imo

It’s hard to be rolled up over going 11-1 and headed to Atlanta for the first time since the Battle Captain was roaming the sidelines, but this would absolutely do it

Hey, Vols&Shaft, are you referring to the Battle Captain lost to Ga. State and BYU? Was it one of those games that you and your mommy were kicked out of at Kneeland?

***Assuming JG is the starting quarterback***

vs Charlotte W
@ Oklahoma L
vs Furman W
vs Florida L
vs Missouri W
@ South Carolina L
vs Alabama W
@ Arkansas W
vs Kentucky W
@ Georgia L
vs Troy W
@ Vanderbilt W

I got us at 8-4 for now. Upset Florida, get knocked off by USCe. JG is too inconsistent for me to predict a better record. My bold prediction is that we won’t lose a game by more than 14 all year.

Now if 5 star Harrison Bailey can come in day 1 and be our savior at QB, 9 or even 10 wins may be possible with this schedule.

Edit: changed my upset pick from Florida to Alabama. We always play like dogshit vs Florida, and I’m assuming Bama’s defense will still be less-than-elite. We get them at home off a bye, and they get us on the road before a bye. Last game before a bye is always tough (I have us also getting upset right before our bye.)
