In 2008 we opened the seaosn against georgia southern. If yall aren't familiar with georgia southern, they have ALMOST the hatred for uga that tech does, but without the smarts and while playing in the minor leagues. Also more redneck than uga fans if you can believe that.
Anyways...we won by 20 in a relatively boring game but I remember as I was walkign back to my car there was a jacked up truck from statesboro with like 44" tires with a bunch of yokels in the back that were shouting at people "yall didn't even cover the spread bitches!!", as if that was somethign ot hang their hat on and feel good about.
That's waht this thread reminded me of.

I've never really understood this. I've got friends that went there, and they always pull for the teams we play. We're not rivals. Makes no sense.

yes it does. Southern is packed full with the cool kids in high school who never studied and are on the dumb side. They got that rejection letter from the flag ship so became bitter. So they go to Southern and drink for 5-7 years and finally get their degree in Communication and hate UGA for life.

Honestly if we stay within two TDs this year of Goergia it's progress as well.
