POS thug. And now that they are getting paid, they feel more entitled than ever. And it’s not just Tennessee players.

I posted the definition of assault. This would only be battery if one of them were injured. The girl took a hard fall and possible hard hit to the head. So yeah, this could potentially be battery.

If we are going to start punishing players, then they need to punish fans too. The players belong on the field. The fans do not.

I am not defending the player. He should have just walked off the field. But if everyone decides to play in the street, don’t act surprised when someone gets hit by a car.

Until they figure out how to get the losing team off the field before the opposing fans are swarming them this will continue.

When a NFL fan runs onto the field of an NFL game, everyone cheers when security and/or a player annihilates them.

But when college fans do the same, we clutch our pearls.

It is an interesting phenomena.

AS A vol fan I agree. He should be arrested. That is disgusting. I was afraid TN was not near as good as all the praise we were receiving and Nico as well. It's obvious Heupel doesn't trust Nico bc we hardly ever throw the deep ball. We basically had 4 plays the whole game. I see possibly 3 or 4 more losses on our schedule if we continue this pattern. I have no time for any thug players as well. Take your loss & try to learn from it. Good game Arky you deserved that win.

Yep. Happens every year and they still don’t learn. I’ve seen way worse smack downs on video. The Attorney always counter that fan broke known policy and use the college fine as down payment for defense of college player. If I’m going on the field I would damn make sure the other team is in the tunnel already or certainly not plow through the team trying to exit. Not saying player should have reacted that way but the coach in front of player appeared to have been bumped by them and player saw it. Not to mention what the fan may have said after bumping coach.

So yeah that was the definition. But it’s not the LEGAL definition, that a DA would use in charges. I served on a jury in an assault and battery case.

Totally agree with you. Player was angry but fans had no business on the field. Too bad stadiums were not designed to have visitors locker rooms a tunnel from behind the visitors bench.

I’d like an assessment from some of the morally superior vol fans here.

Exactly why I’m not a fan of storming the field.

In this context you don’t use the dictionary definition, you use the state statutes.

Can we just agree it meets the definition of a dick move? Well beyond a tap on a head that has had Vols fans crying for 2 years.

Some fan is going to sue these kids. And I cannot blame them. Losing doesn’t give you the right to lose control.

We know how this ends.

He'll claim some made up nonsense about the kid using a racial slur and he'll be commended for assaulting them.

If you’re sitting in the rows closer to the field, you don’t really have a choice. When the crowd behind you is going to rush the field, you either have to rush the field too or you’re going to end up being trampled in the stands.
