Didn't Kiffin catch one of the golf balls which only infuriated the fans even more?
yes and then after the game there was a video of him rallying up the ole miss players to shout “frick Tennessee” multiple times in the locker room at Neyland

I remember it involved Ole Miss but could not remember who they were playing. For some reason, I thought it was LSU.

What set that off?

Last fall, LSU's team had to leave the field after Ole Miss fans started throwing projectiles onto the field.

That has never happened in Tiger Stadium.

Our fans are overly nice.

Worst fan experience for me was Colorado. I've been around a bunch of places

How does a fan know their team is going to lose a sporting event if they don’t even know it is taking place?

What is an ignorant suckeye doing on this board? Can't you find a big 10 board to get on? I didn't like seeing any Vol fans throw trash on the field, however it was being thrown at the officials more than anything else for a terribly officiated game. As far as you saying we must be the Michigan of the south, I'd take that over Ohio state's rude, arrogant fanbase any day of the week. Now go find somewhere else to spew your ignorance and your jealousy of the SEC which is always apparent.

More mythology. Truth is every stadium I walked out of after we won was a great trip. I just come for the football.

In my experience from best to worst:

1. Texas A&M (2017): Extremely hospitable. Great fanbase there in College Station.
2. Auburn (2010): Great group of people. Had multiple invites to different tailgates there.
3. LSU (2012): The most fun road trip so far. Their fans love to talk trash, but they are a blast to party with.
4. Vanderbilt (2023): Fans were invisible.
5. Kentucky (2016): Fans were focused more on basketball.
6. Alabama (2009): We weren't treated poorly in Tuscaloosa but were more or less ignored. Fanbase just seemed slightly arrogant.
7. Tennessee (5x): Probably ran into a few Tennessee alters in Knoxville.
8. Ole Miss (2018): No idea why, but your fans were complete dickheads to our group in 2018.
9. Georgia (6x): The alumni are great, but the sidewalk contingent in Athens are awful. Confrontational before, during, and after games.

And for good measure,
South Carolina: I've seen our students be complete assholes to visiting fans. So, we're probably not better than most.

Have yet to visit Mizzou, Florida, Arkansas, or Miss State so can't comment.

The same could likely be said for any school anywhere as an isolated incident. There are drunk students and sidewalkers everywhere. Just a matter of whether you run into them or not.

Will second the Aggie post commenting that Colorado was historically a rough place for visiting fans. Not anymore.

Truth is you can find dickhead fans anywhere, but it's easier to find nice folks in SEC country. As long as you're cool, most people will be cool to you. I've been treated with overwhelming hospitality even at the most unhospitable locations (Starkville and Baton Rouge). I've really only received unprovoked hostility on a couple of occasions, but nothing was overwhelming. Cheers to all y'all.

Agreed but I've been to Athens six times and Knoxville five times and each time there's been an issue. It no longer qualifies as an isolated incident at that point.

A&M has been far and away the most hospitable. This 100%. Home or away, doesn't matter. Never had a single bad interaction and have watched them pick up trash on campus at Bama after losing on their way back to their car/hotel.

Absolutely! We have been to all but UF. Daughter and I didn’t pay for a single drink or meal we had out. Every time we asked for a check, we were told it had been paid.
However, I understand it was a different story under Jumbo. Maybe now that he has been run off, it will go back to way it was.
