Wait. I both read and typed that wrong. I thought Alabama scheduled UCF. That is a little bit more perplexing. Trying to hit the Tampa recruiting area?

I'm guessing they saw it as a nice 3rd OOC game (historically above average upper P5 team) and thought the road game would be in a NFL stadium that would have a bunch of Alabama fans in it and played in a recruiting area.

I mean yeah if you play in the playoff every year it exists I'd say that's pretty obvious. What about regular season games they actually schedule to get there.
