Georgia leads Auburn, and most other teams, in nearly every defensive category. If you want to put down Georgia, try something important. Like scoring defense. Oops, Georgia is 3rd in the country. How about total defense? Oops, we're 4th. Sacks allowed? Nope. We're 10th. Try some other defensive stat where Auburn is in the top 10. You won't find one.
The fact that you've played the four worst offenses in the SEC and we didn't might have factored into that a little.

Looking at our only two common opponents, Mizzou and MSU, and you performed marginally better in total defense in both games (28 yds better against Mizzou, 71 better vs MSU), and split in scoring defense (gave up 14 more to Mizzou and 7 less to MSU).

I think one could make the case that we would be somewhat better than you in most, if not all of those categories had we swapped schedules.

Not flaming, but do you believe that Auburn's defense would have held Notre Dame's running attack to only 55 yards rushing? Serious question, I have not seen much of Auburn this year.

Probably not 55 but well below their average. That being said each team will be the best team the other team has seen all year.

Personally I'd much rather have Stidham lead my program over Fromm

If georgia is able to get good pressure on stidham saturday, they will hold auburn to a low score. You don't even need to sack stidham so much, just apply good pressure on him and he tends to freak out. That's what I've gathered from seeing him play this season.

That is true for auburn. Georgia is the best team auburn will have faced this year so far. Not true for georgia though, because notre dame looks like a better team than auburn.

Number 4 QB in the country when ranked by efficiency. They better be careful way out there on that limb.

Well, LSU typically has pretty solid opinions on the better QB's, so.....

Guess what, AU and UGA play tomorrow and we'll find out all we need to know. Who cares who allowed 3 more points or 25 more yards against Mizzou. It's all about to get settled on the field.

Who in the frick has ND beat?

Michigan State. NC State. Both ranked higher than teams Auburn has played.

Looks to me like they are on dimensional on offense and have just played a shitload of teams that cant stop the run at all.

I guess Georgia has only played teams that can't stop the run, either. Maybe Auburn has played teams that can't stop the run? because we all know that if somebody gets a lot of yards rushing it isn't because the run the ball well, it is because the teams they have played can't stop the run.

I prefer Jarrett Stidham because of his incredible deep ball. You must have that in Gus Malzahn’s offense.

The above was before he torched Texas A&M.

yeah, but it's still fun to do a little trash talking.
I know you are probably thinking that Georgia is doing too much trash talking, but if you check, a lot fo these threads are started by Mister Tee. Crap he has 7 threads on the first page!

But that's ok. he is enjoying himself, and I have no problem with that. he has gotten a couple of Georgia fans upset, too, it appears.

This is a huge game for us. It will be interesting!

He had a very solid game against A&M.
I saw that your OLine allowed 7 or 8 TFL. thatw as surprising, though.

Has UGA played a team with a decent QB and an Offense that can run the ball ?

Texas A&M gets after it on defense.

I believe they are 12th in team tackles for loss per game, and 3rd in team sacks per game.

Likewise, Georgia is 65th in team tackle for loss per game, and 71st in team sacks per game.

I think these stats come against P5 opponents on the NCAA website.

Notre dame? Mississippi State? Vanderbilt? Missouri?

So. yes. We have played Brandon Wimbush, Kyle Shurmer,
Nick Fitzgerald, Drew Lock. Those are all "decent" QB's.

Notre Dame is one of the best running teams in the NCAA. Florida is a pretty decent running team, also.

I thought they had been looking better defensively. It's surprising sometimes when a team gets something like that turned around. Looks like Chavis is doing pretty well there. Or at least improving them.

Ah! I knew they were very good with sacks. I did not know they were so good with TFL.

We actually get decent pressure on the QB, but not necessarily in the form of sacks. We typically rush 4, but occasionally send 5.

If your Oline can keep us from getting pressure on Stidham he can make us miserable. When given time he seems to be very accurate and can make opponents pay.
