No he is a redshirt sophomore, just fairly new to football, but he is a big guy and can maul, and is very intelligent, just lacks years of experience

I can't wait to see the meltdown when UGA does what we all know they are going to do...Run the ball down the throat of the Auburn defense, keep the field position flipped in their favor, and physically dominate Auburn with our front 7 on D...like we have done to everybody else.

GTFO...

and if that doesnt happen, because there is a chance. what will your meltdown look like?

Solid perspective like this is generally not appreciated on this board anymore.

I saw that your OLine allowed 7 or 8 TFL. thatw as surprising, though.

Our OL has been up and down in pass protection all season. Partly due to injuries and partly who knows. We made a personal Change after the 1st qtr which helped. We'll see how the do tomorrow.

I have to say, I have been impressed with the GA Offensive Line. Coming into the season, I thought that was a major area of concern and they seem to have done really well.

They were probably the biggest area of concern. Pittman has made a believer out of us. he's done a great job!

quote:

I do think this is the best defense GA has faced since ND,

Absolutely no doubt. It will give us an indication about how the SEC Championship game will go. Whoever we meet there, will have an excellent defense...whether it is Alabama or Auburn.

quote:

There are three areas I am concerned about: 1. AU Oline 2. fricking punting game 3. Absence of Kam.

Yeah. Our front 7 is very good. Your Oline will have to play very, very well. If you can cover the punts well you will be ok. If you don't Hardman can run one back. he hasn't yet, but he is capable. Depth at RB for a run first team is never good. But you guys have a couple of pretty good young backs. They will need to grow up fast, and not fumble the ball.

quote:

I do think home field will help us a good bit. I know Fromm has faced hostile crowds, but I think TN lost the crowd early.

ND was a major indicator for me, concerning Fromm. he is very poised. from what I have heard, he was very poised in high school, too. Just doesn't get rattled.

I don’t have very high hopes for Auburn’s offensive line. To be honest, we don’t even know who will start yet or how/if they will rotate. It has been a revolving door all year, which is unfortunate...

Oline is very important, and stability is a huge key.

What would you the ND/UGA split there was? It looked to me like there was a ton of UGA fans there.

I know I do. And they might be over ranked this year, imo. But I would also say that they might be a top 5-7 team, and feel pretty comfortable with that. However, if we make the playoffs, I would feel very good about playing them again.

ND is better than Auburn. Why do people not get this.

I have watched all those teams and none of them are consistent in both phases of the Offense.

But that wasn't what was asked.

Here is the quote:
Has UGA played a team with a decent QB and an Offense that can run the ball ?

Decent. Maybe our definiton of decent is different?
Missouri is 8th in the SEC in rushing and 2nd in passing. That is definitely decent.

quote:

Vanderbilt: digging deep if you have to use them as an example.

I just saw their rushing stats. What the heck happend to Webb? Crap!

quote:

So the answer is UGA hasn't played a team with a decent QB AND and Offense that can run the ball.

I will hold you to giving me Missouri. I'm nto entirely certain what this has to do with Auburn/Georgia, though. We can both pick and choose what criteria to go by, but we also both know it won't matter Saturday. It will ultimately come down to one on one match ups and breaks. Notre Dame supposedly has to first round draft picks on their Oline and couldn't run on us. that doesn't mean Auburn can't run on us. There are too many other factors like type of offense, etc.

Pretty sure that is a literal quote from Mike Smith...............that was roundly made fun of by everyone in Atlanta.

I've heard it was 60/40 ND. Know way of knowing for sure. No doubt there was a lot of Georgia fans there. As a former player, though, I really don't know how much difference the fans make, honestly. Unless it is unbearably loud.....I never heard the crowd once I stepped on the field. It was almost eery that way. I can't say it is that way for everybody, but it was for me. It was almost like I was playing in a vacuum.

I have seen Missouri, they are not a very good team on either side of the ball. They had 340 yards of total Offense against AU, and most of that was against 2nd and 3rd string D. The key is if AU is successful passing the ball on UGAs secondary. If it is, the running game will open up.

Stidham is fine. Depends on who is playing LT for Auburn. Darius James is a friggin statue. has been hurt a lot and just isnt mobile. Auburns offense was an entirely different thing against A&M when they took James out. Not the first time either.

they are #2 in passing in the conference. Granted, they do tend to inflate their numbers against weaker teams. but, would you have thought they would drum Florida a month ago? They have improved dramatically. (Of course I would also have to admit that Florida might have quit)

I agree.
This will depend on Auburn's OLine.

It can get deafening on the field at JH. And if the game remains close like I think it will. It will be a very tough venue to play in.
