Glad to see the end zone getting updated. Those bleacher seats in the sun were brutal

From the looks of the pictures, they put in nothing more fancier version of bleachers. Where is the fricking concrete?

Haven't been there since 93. It actually looks big compared to then. I remember the high school scoreboard and seemed like there were some aluminium bleachers put in the end zone that you could fall through.

Just for reference, this is what LSU had to pour for their end zone expansion.

Yeah, looks like fancy bleachers with a facade. If so that is crappy.

Ole Miss couldn't grow real grass before, so what's changed?

Did yall hire somebody from the Miss.State Turf Management School to come over and do the VH athletic turf.

Takes a little more than just "Irrigation" to maintain a football field.............

I would imagine we hired someone from state or some other ag school to do it. What's it matter?

We hire State people to do stuff like that all the time.

I just hope we didn't get whomever was in charge of State's baseball field a couple of yeats ago. The infield had all these terrible yellow spots. There was an article about it where they blamed it on the weather.....

I'm pretty sure when VHS went to turf, it was an Arky grad that was overseeing turf maintenance at the time. I only know this from the flaming threads back-n-forth.

Speaking of, I can remember threads on here about going to artificial turf and I tried to explain it then and posters *looks at pankreb* argued with me. Real grass is cheaper to install, maintain, cooler temps, and prevents less injuries. Every SEC school should use it when you play a max. 8 games a year on it
