I really don't care for the NFL but I have a question regarding this:

Is it really so enigmatic for prospects regarding the NFL? Why is it that so many top shelf guys flame out? Is it really that difficult to predict college players?

Competition no longer slanted in their favor.

Is it also just because of name recognition? I mean to say: About 97% of prospects probably don't last more than 3 years. So in turn we only see it when the player is high profile?

They had one on each of the Titans and Packers as well - Khari Blasingame and Oren Burks.

I’d bet first round picks have a better success rate than any other round

Similar to the recruiting rankings

I feel like many of the players who come from smaller/less publicized football programs are guys who stay there till Sr year. 4-5 years is a ton of time for a 17-18 year old to develop into a full grown man. NFL doesn’t care about the stat sheet at 17, they see potential and hard workers.

Weird thing to troll us about. We have the longest streak for players in super bowl at 19 straight years. ETA: We may tie LSU in it. I’m assuming they have one this year too.

Because FB is a combat sport involving savage brutality, you never know how a college star is going to perform on the next level

Also, you never know how a broke guy is gonna act when he suddenly gets money and fame, and worse a clique of hanger-ons that will tell them they are always right no matter how stupid they act ( see AB, Johnny Manziel, etc)

Aside from competition and the amount of time a kid stays in college to mature, mediocre-shitty NFL teams have a track record of killing careers.

LSU fans have a strange fixation on Georgia.

They really do. Seems LSU fans start a UGA thread almost every day. You’d think they’d be content with a title, but there’s something about UGA that causes them to glance off into the distance. I guess when you’re from Louisiana, Georgia is always on your mind.

Did you really, as an LSU fan, look up how many players Vandy and UGA have in the Super Bowl?

And then post it as if the joke was on us?

Congrats. Tied with Iowa. We tied with the most last year with RUTGERS.

It’s almost like, it doesn’t matter and isn’t really a great indicator of a program.
