I like the way you’re thinking. Scooping up more young coaching talent from the NFL may work out again.
Leads me to thinking: if we go down that route again, and the new coordinator(s) prove to be successful, how can LSU proactively put retention measures in place?

Stephen Sullivan is gonna get picked up if he works hard at Sr bowl and tests well. Dude has potential the NFL won’t miss
Brennan has the arm strength, and from what I’ve witnessed, he can be nimble when called upon.
What will propel him to fill Burrow’s shoes quickly is his ability to read and process defensive schemes and find mismatches. This capability is what made Burrow such an assassin.
If Brennan can understand defensive schemes as well as he understands his own playbook, the drop off can be minimal.

With the weapons and offensive scheme, he’s got as good a chance as anyone in his position

I feel like many of the players who come from smaller/less publicized football programs are guys who stay there till Sr year. 4-5 years is a ton of time for a 17-18 year old to develop into a full grown man. NFL doesn’t care about the stat sheet at 17, they see potential and hard workers.

Jordan Toles has good length. Probably will see the field as they try out defensive packages. Has a 6’3 frame they could pack some weight on, turn him into a Richard Sherman type

Would’ve pulled for the Chiefs regardless, but this just makes it so much sweeter
