Would this be a win-win? UT is obviously struggling with its football program and it will likely not recover as long as they are part of the SEC. Joining the ACC would allow them to at least go .500 in conference play and perhaps compete for championships in the future. UT already has a good basketball program and that is really what the ACC hangs their hat on.

Clemson coming into the SEC East, provides an equal ground for our 2 divisions and lets be honest, would give Clemson at least one or two regular season losses. Thoughts?

Why do people do these hypotheticals with founding members? They are charter members. You can’t just make them leave.

The way to get Clemson is to trade South Carolina for them . You put Clemson in the SEC and South Carolina would become Vandy.

Then it would be...

Clemson
UGA
GATORS
KENTUCKY
Tennessee
Vandy

But who would the fill the 7th spot?

The only way Clemson would have a loss in the East is if we drew a tough matchup from the West in the cross division game. Other than that, we would get to the SECCG easy every year

I would rather more leagues and divisions than 1 really really strong league: Obviously not this exactly but something like this to shake it up

Texas
Texas A&M
Arkansas
Oklahoma
Oklahoma State
LSU

MSU
Ole Miss
Alabama
Auburn
Florida
UCF

Georgia
Miami
Clemson
Kentucky
Florida State
South Carolina

Tennessee
WVU
Missouri
Vandy
UNC
Duke

Would definitely improve the prestige of the SEC, but I doubt the ACC would accept UT. Could see them dropping to DII though
