I grew up in Louisiana. UT was always Tennessee. Only time it got confusing is when I moved to Houston after graduating from LSU and started doing life with some of the tea sipping brigade. I'd always ask them to clarify which UT they were talking about, which didn't go over well.
I have an advanced degree from UT-Austin, btw.
