Let New Orleans and the BCS title game have their snarling defenses, their three-yard runs, their field goals and a rematch of a 9-6 game. The Rose Bowl will take dazzling speedsters, 91-yard scores, an avalanche of touchdowns and a pinball machine for a scoreboard.

I thought the lack of defense in that game was embarrassing.

Either team in New Orleans would embarrass both of those pretenders... mainly with defense

I saw piss poor angles and tackling on defense, and bad clock management to end the game.

Typical and just playing to today's fans. Entertainment is all that matters. I find football track meets and basketball on grass equally as appalling as the defensive games they despise so much. Piss on them.

LSU already handled one of them.

Worse than that was the atrocity in San Antonio that they call the Alamo Bowl. That was an embarrassment.

To each his own. It thrills me though that the type of games the SEC plays ( which PAC 12 and Big 10 people hate ) absolutely dominates those pussy teams out West.

The crazy thing is that LSU and Alabama have great offenses as well as amazing defenses. Its not like these are two boring offenses playing each other for a 9-6 game. These are two amazing defenses holding great offenses to few points, just like they would do to Okie St, Stanford, Wisconsin, or Oregon in the title game.

Which would the media rather see? A repeat of a 9-6 defensive battle or a 41-14 LSU/OkSt blowout score? LSU/Bama is a pickem, while an LSU/OkSt game would have LSU as at least a double digit favorite. The BCS got it right.

I promise you Chip Kelly doesn't feel this way. That speed has been shut down twice now. Don't know where the writer has been for the last twelve months, but he must have short term memory.
