College football has experienced a drastic change over the past few years. Realignments have concentrated the great powers into a couple of conferences and now players can be recruited with money.
The conferences with the most money will rule. The schools in those conferences with the most money to spend should rule, although some really big spenders are not having the success that money says they should have.

Cash is King. Nothing has changed other than the players

Sure it has. Buying players is now legal. Any fan base that wants their program to compete has to put up the money. Players will be less attracted by the school’s name and history than by the money. It’s professional football now.

Nobody can move the pit boss off his seat physically unless he wants to move.

He will go 6-6 and stick around.

Maybe but the historically great programs will still have the edge in prestige and money.
It will always be that way as long as the NCAA keeps allowing these NIL collectives to exist.

But so is Mike Shula.

Serious question for bama fans, do you think what Saban could have done at Arkansas would be like results he had at bama?
I think he could have won more than Sam but not enough to stay employed at Bama with the same results.

Remind me where the UK program was before Mark again...very simple..you guys where easy as heck. Stoops has made you much better.
He is the winningest coach in your history(at Uk, obvious what Bear did at Alabama is amazing but does not count and Stoops had a better win percentage at Kentucky then one of the GOAT).
Mark has made you guys greedy now. His success has breed insane fans who want him fired..most likely you will become an Easy game most SEC teams consider a throw away game if you fire him. You sucked before him. Be happy with what he has done...
You can't expect to win the SEC with blue bloods like Georgia, Texas LSU, Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma, Auburn at Kentucky...you are more concerned with basketball(and you have amazing history). You are not a Football school...158-332-13 all time. You are a sub .500 program he has made somewhat relevant in an extremely hard conference...seriously do not understand. Most of my family lives in Kentucky..i was born there. They are all basketball fans..never heard anything about Football from them until Stoops

Doesn't UK spend more on basketball than any other SEC school? 22 million last season on the lineup...
Football you spent..well not sure how to get it because Kentucky has not made it public. Basketball is your cash cow though for sure...Duke, UNC, Kentucky, Kansas, and UConn are the most known basketball programs I would guess.

Kentucky who wants to use 45% of their revenue sharing budget on men’s basketball has no right to fire Mark Stoops.

Your family by-passed the sweetness that was the Rich Brooks era? Shameful.
Fwiw I dont want Stoops fired yet and find it unlikely anyone else would do significantly better but we shall see. Offense has always been painful under him so I dont blame some for being upset.

And until Florida started that ridiculous winning streak against us 1986, our head to head record was 19-14 in Florida's favor. Florida was nothing special until y'all hired Spurrer.

The new paradigm in what used to be "College Football" ....has now become semi-profootball....you have to consider both since it is easier now than ever before to buy Nattys. Coach + NIL = Natty
