Guice also wasn't a "prized star" at the time of these allegations,

No. He was just a 4/5* player ranked as a top 5 RB nationally.

Actually, again, go back and read the first four paragraphs.

I read "athletic department"

But then again, that requires having a few brain cells.

Don't let me get in the way of your Internet badass routine but in the Guice allegations, the members of the athletic department who were alleged to have known about the incidents were the tennis coach and diving coach.

The diving coach did her due diligence but the victim wouldn't cooperate.

The tennis coach is the only person alleged to have "covered" something up.

We went over all of this a few months ago.

when you are top 5 at your position in the nation, hell yes.

Stop being stupid. You LSU fans are defending this BS. What if one of those girls was your daughter? Would you be taking this stance?

For more than a year, people at the highest levels of the Louisiana State University athletic department fielded complaints about their prized running back, Derrius Guice.

Early in the spring 2016 semester, a member of the LSU diving team told her coach and an athletic department administrator that Guice raped her friend after she’d passed out drunk at a party.

That summer, a female student told two senior athletics administrators that Guice took a partially nude photograph of her without her permission, and then shared it with a team equipment manager and possibly others.

Then, in April 2017, the athletic department received reports of a second rape allegation against Guice, this time by a women’s tennis player.

Federal laws and LSU’s own policies require university officials to take such allegations seriously and report them to the Title IX office for investigation, as well as to campus police if the incidents occurred on school property.

Yet at each step of the way, LSU officials either doubted the women’s stories, didn’t investigate, or didn’t call the police, allowing Guice to continue his football career.

I can't believe LSU posters are trying to deflect so hard in this thread.

Everyone is doing it.

Victims didn't come forward.

Damn liberals

Coach O didn't know

You are passing the buck. Plain and simple. You are also naive as hell if you think those are the only people who knew about it. College campuses are small. I bet at least a quarter of the student body knew about it.

The LSU Athletic Department failed miserably. Joe Alleva and King Alexander need to be sued to hell and back.

They aren't the only people that knew. The entire LSU Athletic Department including Joe Alleva and Pres. King Alexander knew.

This girl wouldn't cooperate or file a complaint. Also states that she doesn't remember the incident. Not sure what LSU could really do in that case.

Victim's dad told the tennis coach and the tennis coach allegedly stated that she didnt believe the victim.

They also made a Title IX report which is what I'm assuming this statement is referring to but didnt name Guice in the report.

I mean you're trying to publicly slander people on very serious accusations based on your assumptions.

I'd ask you the same thing.

How many times do reporters get details like that wrong?

Well then LSU is in the clear and handled all of these accusations appropriately. Nothing to worry about, all is well.

Yes is the correct answer. LSU.... where stupidity and denial collide on a seemingly daily basis.

You mean like having a coach caught on tape clearly talking about buying players?

"he didn't do nuffin".

A football player caught on tape sucker punching somebody?

"he didn't do nuffin".

Multiple, and I mean multiple, football players being accused of rape?

"they didn't do nuffin".

This is Baylor level stuff right here. The LSU AD is letting the athletes run the asylum.
