What are McCaffrey's stats if you take out his return yards?

He has more yards from scrimmage, but Henry has significantly more TDs.

I guess they are giving McCaffrey the benefit of the doubt on TDs since he had 13 vultured by Stanford's "short yardage back".

Ok what are his return yards compared to Charles Woodson in his Heisman year?

A case can be made for either. Personally, I watched Henry play all year and he was dominant. I couldn't vote for anyone else

1847 yds rushing 8 td's
41 catches for 540 yds and 4 td's
also threw a couple of td's.
Why take out return yds to me that is what puts him at the top.

As much as I'd like Henry to win I can't say that McCaffrey isn't deserving. That kid was Stanford. What a season. If I had a vote I go with McCaffrey. Henry was best in big games but I can't ignore what McCaffrey has done this season. Both had great seasons and you cant go wrong either way. Mac is gonna get all votes west of the MS and the south and southeast seaboard are split on Henry /Deshaun. The NE will also go with McCaffrey. This may not even be close at the end of the day.

It's definitely as interesting a Heisman race as we've had in a while. Whoever wins will have deserved it.

Mccaffrey (kick returns)
Returns 36
Yards 1042
Avg 28.94
TD 1

Woodson (punt returns)
Returns 36
Yards 301
Avg 8.4
Long 78
TD 1

woodson didn't do kick returns in his heisman year, and mccaffrey only has 14 punt returns this year...so it's kind of difficult to compare

McCaffrey has more yards as a RB if you include receiving yards...which you should, RB's are a part of the passing game too. Heck, he even threw 2 TD's.

That isn't even including his return stats.

Henry had just over 100 more yards rushing, but only .1 ypc better. McCaffrey had over 350 more yards receiving, including 4 more ypc.

Henry had more TD's, but McCaffrey scored a TD in every possible way on offense, except a Punt return.

Henry did his damage against vastly better defenses. Pac12 was a dumpster fire. Is there any doubt that Henry would have big return stats if he returned kicks? Henry is a better player

Looking back at the year Ingram won, I don't know if that's true. The fact that Mayfield, Cook, and Reynolds didn't get enough votes to even earn invites tells me that the regional splits are going to work in Henry's favor.
