Chicken coming in strong!

And majority of Bama's legit Championships come with an ex-LSU Coach.

Well, it seems that Chicken little here cannot accept the fact that the playoff committee picks the 4 BEST teams so Bama has zero asterisks in that regard.

I know it cost Little Sis a title in 2011 having to play mean ol Bama and I'm not saying the Committee isn't without flaw as Aggie should have been in this past playoff, but yall were the inferior team in the end.

Cheers..

I'm really fine with this ranking system since Alabama absolutely dominates in it, but it is hilarious to me how much LSU fans (on this board at least) will twist facts and cherry pick random stats to be able to beat their chests about their team's "historic" accomplishments. Because, while the title of this thread claims it to be about Alabama, what this thread is actually about is trumpeting LSU as being tied for second in all-time "legitimate" NCs. Which is frankly ridiculous. LSU has a perfectly respectable historic resume which any team not one of the all-time top ten would be proud to own. Artificially inflating it doesn't make it look even more awesome; it instead diminishes your own team's accomplishments by making it clear that you yourself think they are small and need to be propped up.

Good grief, you sound so petty. Even if you only count 8.....it’s so far ahead of every other team, it may as well be 18

Btw....football was played prior to BCS and NC were awarded by multiple sources. Just because we don’t have a TV Guide National Championship, doesn’t mean they can’t claim it. Quit chasing Alabama and Norte Dame. They are the bluest of bloods.

If our team was even competitive with them on an “all time” basis....I could buy in. We are not. No one else is either.

As if that was somehow relevant. The fact that so many LSU fans play that card suggests that you knew you beat the odds by winning the first game. Deep down, you knew Alabama was the better team all along.

Chicken, you are a tool. Bama has won, not claimed, 6 titles in 12 years. Shoot that down?

Florida's 1996 title isn't legitimate to you?
Someone's butthurt over the stompings LSU received from Florida in the 1990's

I like how you could, matter-of-factly, take out "LSU fans" and put in "Alabama SID" and still have this sentence be accurate.

No. Ap poll signed a contract agreement along with the Coaches poll to select the teams selected by the BCS. They decided to break the agreement.

And there's the typical "you didn't win, we just lost"

I'll say it again, fans like yourself don't deserve the success Bama has had.

The AP never did such a thing. They allowed their poll to be used in the BCS computer formulas but they never signed an agreement that stated they HAD to rank the BCS champion #1. Only the Coaches' Poll did that. Look, as much as it sucks to admit, the vast majority of the college football world regards 2003 as a split championship year. Only LSU fans disagree with that sentiment. And it makes sense considering everyone saw Oklahoma get pasted by Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship Game, before dropping to #3 in both major human polls and remaining there even for the Sugar Bowl.

So as far as everyone but LSU fans are concerned, the Tigers played #3 Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl that year while avoiding #1 USC.

Deep down you know the gumps should not have played a second game due to losing the game of the century.

That 1992 Alabama defense was devastatingly good.

If you put that defense with 2020 Alabama, you’d have the best team of all time.
