That was not Sidewalk. I sent $$ to the guy in that thread only to later find out he had drug abuse issues. I don't regret donating as it came from a heart of compassion for the guys loss at the time.
On a side note, did something actually happen for Sidewalk to get a ban or something? Last post was yesterday at 5:10 pm. Not that it's a huge amount of time since his last post, but still.

No. I will not give anyone such a free pass. It may have some bearing when it comes to sentencing, but no amount of it is ok. Most drunk drivers that kill people ARE doing exactly what you say. It's because they are impaired that they can't do it correctly.
No where did I say that it was okay to do that, or give anyone doing that a free pass. I was simply pointing out that there is indeed a large, obvious difference,

Besides, .161 isn't a little drunk and you don't need to be driving 156MPH before it's reckless driving.
never said that .161 was "a little drunk."

I don't disagree.

I'm not going to lie. When a car passes me at a reckless speed, and it's clear that the driver is a low IQ piece of human waste who has no concern for the safety and lives of other people, I secretly wish that they lose control and splatter themselves into a tree.
Same.

How do you know that I don’t?
I don't? that's why I asked the question?
most people don't own a car that can reach 156 at 22 or similarly young ages when people are most prone to poor decisions. did you own a car that fast at such an age?
if you're conflating the decisions you make at an older age with the car you own that can go 156 with what ruggs did, and passing judgement in the believe that you are proven superior, you're completely missing the point.
When I was that age I had a 4 cylinder that topped out at about 83 and then later a 15 year old SUV that I had no interest in racing with. Do I think I was dumb enough to go 156 in a corvette anywhere at any point in my life? no, I don't. but I don't KNOW as a point of fact.

But I can hear liberals say that we should ban cars that go 150.

What about Marks and Harrison?
I know I saw commercials for them in Georgia, but moved to Virginia and there's an office a mile from my house.

That's crazy. Hell I don't even top 125 mph on the Autobahn. I couldn't imagine doing that on city highways/streets. What's wrong with people

I think I hit 100 once on a dead quiet road with nothing around for miles, then as soon as I realized it immediately slowed down - this was back when I was in college, driving home every other weekend.
Can't see the appeal of driving that fast these days. I even tell my employees if they're running late to just call ahead and tell me, it's fine. Don't do anything stupid to be on-time or "less late" - it's not even remotely worth it.

Hellcat Durango towed from the scene too. May have been a drag race.

Should these allegations be true. He deserves and should receive the maximum penalty.

He threw so much away and took someone's life in the process. I can't imagine what he's feeling right now.

Damn. That speed is just insane as is the blood alcohol. Bless the lady that was killed and her family and friends and honestly it’s sad for all those affected even Ruggs himself, what a really really dumb drunken decision.

Another thing is the incoming punitive damages. They know he is good for it too.
