Amesh Adalja served on the NCAA coronavirus panel and says Saban's isolation will put him coaching at Tennessee in jeopardy next week.

Is he really needed, though?

Until they build the plexiglass booth on the field with an isolated tunnel to it.

Seriously, he can watch at home and be in his coaches ears the whole game.

I hate to break it to you, but at this point Saban could have pre recorded holograms on the sidelines and Bama would still most likely steamroll everyone not named Clemson.

So he’s gonna let butch jones coach in his place and watch the tenn. fan base meltdown as the tide roll to a 4 TD Win.
And we laugh and laugh

He's a program maker. He's never been a great game day coach. His absence will have minimal impact one one game.

You have to wonder what it would do the team morale and how it would psychologically affect the team if he’s not there. In the event Tennessee beats us the game doesn’t count

Crap, it’s 2020 so of course a pandemic would help Tennessee end its losing streak to Bama.

I hope he recovers quickly and has no complications from the illness. He's the GOAT

As long as Guarantano stays healthy and the starter we should be good.

Sec rule is 10 days if asymptomatic, which means gameday is fine.

Now I just have a mental image of Saban throwing one of his patented fits in a plexiglass box on the sideline

They'll have to figure out a way to get some kind of live feed at the game with signal to his house...if that's allowed, not sure if they made some kind of Rona' adjustments to the rules for these situations. TV feed is 30 seconds or so behind.
