*now a (0-7) v/s quad 1 bubble team.

So, now it's Bubble Bama and Bubble Bruce on the fringe.

They're really lucky that NET kicked in this season. If RPI were the criteria they'd be right on the cut line, probably out

RPI > NET, by the way

KenPom and efficiency metrics are great for predictions and gambling but wins and losses should be the primary metric

NET is still a wait and see, imo. Let's see what it produces on selection Sunday...

Totally agree, though RPI could be tweaked. I hate using efficiencies to judge who should be in/out.

Yeah I was looking at a NET graphic yesterday that shows the different components. I thought the same thing .., seems like we’re getting caught in the weeds a bit, IMO it should mostly, if not completely, be about SOS and wins/losses. Don’t think I’m a fan of “efficiency” metrics being included.

Yep - agree. And I love the efficiency stuff......but for matchup analysis or "is Team A really that good?" type stuff, not for measuring accomplishments.

AU is in as long as they are above .500 in the SEC.

We had a RPI of 31 and had 8 Group 1 wins and 12 G1/G2 wins plus the #12 SOS.

Auburn current has a RPI (just to use the same metric) of 40, 1 Group 1 win and 5 G1/G2 wins plus the #33 SOS.

Again, AU is in unless there is a total collapse. The SEC is going to get more credit than they deserve this year with the Committee.

we went (4-6) in the Big12 challenge

prior to sec play, we had 6 teams in. since sec play, there have been up to 8 in at one time.

The SEC is earning their credit, and Auburn is a team that had some pretty big ooc wins. So, what does that say about Auburn? The rest of the country??

UT and UK are giving the SEC a push this year. In the past you would be lucky to find one SEC in the Top 10.
