I don’t know why you’re thinking this “bad”. This is a good hire. Hell, before the shite show at Florida, Michigan fans would have been celebrating this hire. Mac might not be Florida head coach level, but the guy is a good OC, and is good at game planning. Just see 2009 SEC championship. He schooled Florida’s defensive staff all night. This is a very solid hire, and might save harbaughs job. Just don’t look for great recruiting.

If Mac has a QB with at least a pulse, he’ll do really well. Look what he did with Will Grier. I don’t care who the coach is, when you have QB play like Florida had after Grier, it’s difficult. I guess we’ll see what Mullen can get out of Franks.

I hope he does well, bad luck at UF. Good guy, no hard feelings from me.

I don't get the McElwain hate. He is a very good OC.

I think everyone now sees that Mac is a terrible coach. He was very lucky to be at Bama when their defense was amazing, OL was among best ever, awesome RBs, one of the best WRs in the past 25 years for CFB, and QBs that were never going put the team in a bad position. Oh and he had Saban too.

Honestly, we should be asking how it would be possible to fail in that position. Clearly, it wasn't possible. But then Mac had to do some actual coaching, under pressure, at UF, and he was not only a terrible coach but a terrible person.

Second loss of the season and he'll trot out the fake death threats. The guy is a loser and a coward.

This will mark the end of Harbaugh's time at Mighigan. He's over promised, under delivered, and the ineptitude of Mac's offense will frustrate Michigan fans so much that they will finally get rid of Harbaugh.

We won 2 national titles with the guy, and McCarron was one of the best qbs in the nation.

Bama wins NC's with every coordinator. It's Bama. You win them with Saban no matter what. How was his offense at UF when his talent wasn't the very best, but still very good? They finished 100th, 107th and 108th in scoring offense in his three years. Out of the 6 teams in Florida, they finished dead last. His offensive results were putrid.
