McElwain is a good OC. He was good at Fresno before Saban hired him.

He's not a bad OC. Too conservative though.

He's a fine OC.

Especially at a place with such shite offense as Michigan.

He's an upgrade..

It's not bad. I'd be fine with having him as our OC. He's a good football coach. Being a head coach at a major program like Florida overwhelmed him. He will thrive as a OC under Harbaugh

AJ wasn't very good under McElwain. I didn't think Jim was a good OC. We usually won in spite of his offenses.

Not a Bama fan but he was involved with getting the ball rolling for Saban.

No Mac's last year was 2011. I will say his play calling in his final game here against LSU was very good. While our defense primarily won us that game, we found some success against that incredible LSU defense.

I'll take him over Nussmeier (sp?) all day. He did a good job at Bama. Saban has changed his offensive philosophy somewhat since then, but I had no issue with the ball control offense. It's a large reason why our defenses put up such great numbers. That 2016 defense should have been one of the best of all time, but it didn't always look like it due to Kiffin's dumbass big play/3 and out offense.
