I would say you are right, I would be embarrassed after such an incident but they are young and doing what they were told.
I would not have fired the cannon myself because of prayer>traditions.

Even if they were told to move and kept praying, where is the sense of firing the cannon anyway? Did it not occur to anyone that this would not be a good look? Does TM not have PR people? Just not smart.

The summer is that part of the year when it gets hot and the days are long. It's also the time of year when school is out and there are no athletic activities - AKA: Offseason.
