All the UGA's are decended from the original UGA, about 50 years.

Sorry about the little guy. I love animals.

Get some new dog stock in there to get fresh genetic material. You keep inbreeding them and they'll continue to have problems.

2nd in 3 years, I think. It was UGA VII (heart attack), Russ (interim mascot, still alive), and UGA VIII (lymphoma)

For the love of god, UGA, pick a healthier breed of dog. I think the University of Georgia Greyhounds would be a good choice.

Is there something wrong with the bloodline of the current UGA dynasty? Seems like a tough couple of years for the mascots.

My condolences to the UGA folks.

Wasn't this o e about 3 or 4 years old? I know that because of their violent births and unnatural 'existence', if you will, this particular breed and line don't have vvery long lives at all...isn't 7 or 8 VERY old for this line of english bd's?

Sucks to hear either way..I love dogs and would be lost without my weimaraner..here's to UGA

I'd be down if they used a boxer or even an American bulldog. Anything other than the line they have, tradition be damned

When are you guys going to wise up and get some new blood in there? High bred dogs are usually all fricked up.

I'll be shocked if they don't find a different breeder. The dog will remain an English White Dog, but I think the Seilers are done. This is going to be a PR disaster and Peta is going to be on UGA's arse, guaranteed
